UK-based Answer has developed an iPhone application for DBi Prismo, a contractor of road marking products and road safety solutions, that provides communication between the company’s field workforce and office-based departments.

The application allows real-time reporting and communication by cutting DBi Prismo’s reliance on paperwork to drive annual savings of over £300,000 in administration costs.

The system provides instant updates for any type of weather, travel or job specification changes and rapid evidential reporting using the device’s camera.

Earlier documentation was couriered between sites or information was transmitted via a vehicle-based system.

The system also allows teams to directly report on stock requirements and the location’s condition, and confirm job completion before being sent details of the next task.
