Arup, in partnership with URS Scott Wilson, has been appointed by the UK Government to become part of the new national Government Procurement Service framework for traffic management technology research and consultancy services.

The framework will make the public sector procurement process easier by providing instant access to approved suppliers at agreed rates as the Government Procurement Service expects the framework to deliver up to £3bn contracts during four years.

Under the framework agreement, public sector buyers will be able to purchase services ranging from street lighting services to traffic management research and consultancy.

It will also offer greater efficiency for public sector agencies wishing to purchase traffic management technologies covering goods, services and solutions.

Arup and URS Scott Wilson will provide project planning, management, research and design services under Lot 8: Traffic Management Research and Consultancy.
