The Government of Queensland, Australia, has awarded an early works contract to Civil Mining and Construction (CMC) for the Pacific Motorway upgrade between Mudgeeraba and Varsity Lakes.

CCTV cameras will be installed at the Mudgeeraba, Robina, and Varsity Lakes interchanges, while an overhead electronic sign will be installed at Reedy Creek.

AECOM and CCCC Highway Consultants Co Ltd have signed an agreement to form a joint venture (JV).

"The JV will offer consulting and planning services in numerous environmental domains."

To be based in Beijing, China, the JV will offer consulting and planning services in numerous environmental domains.

CCCC Highway Consultants is located in China and is a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Limited.
