Upon completion, Expressway S5 will connect Wroclaw with Poznan, providing a direct link between south-west Poland and the port city of Gdansk via the junction with the A1 motorway.

The Polish Government has approved a roads plan for 2014-2017 with a budget of roughly €8.5bn.

Budimex has involved in the construction of several sections of the A1, A2 and A4 motorways. The company was recently awarded the contract for another section of the A4, which will run across southern Poland between the German and Ukrainian borders.
