Google has partnered with traffic information services provider Inrix to add real-time traffic data to its navigation and mapping applications.

Google’s location-based products and services will be integrated with Inrix data for both mobile and desktop users.

Inrix uses analytics technologies combining crowd-sourced data from 30 million connected vehicles and devices, road sensors, accident and incident reports and other public and private sources to provide drivers accurate view of traffic conditions.

The live traffic data will initially be available in eight countries, including major US cities, France, the UK, Australia and Canada.

The app is available in English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Hungarian and Dutch.
