Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood (GMC), an architecture and engineering firm based in the US, has acquired Stevenson & Palmer Engineering (SPE).

As a result of the acquisition, the operations of SPE’s current locations will be managed by GMC. The employees of GMC and SPE currently located in Atlanta offices will shortly be moved to an integrated location.

The acquisition will help GMC’s business to enter the Georgia market.

Colliers International Group, a commercial real estate services provider based in Canada, has acquired Gorton & Partnersa, a real estate and construction project management consulting firm based in the US.

WSP Global, a Canadian provider of consulting and engineering services, will acquire Sweett Group for £24m ($34.92m) in cash. The transaction will be completed by acquiring the entire issued and to be issued share capital of the target company.

Under the terms of the acquisition, the shareholders of Sweett will receive £0.35 ($0.5) in cash for each Sweett share. The offer price represents a premium of 52.17% to the closing price per each Sweett share of £0.23 ($0.33) on 24 May 2016.

Opus Corporate Finance LLP and Nabarro LLP are acting as financial and legal advisers to WSP Global respectively. Stockdale Securities Limited and Pinsent Masons LLP are providing financial and legal advices to Sweett respectively.

Previously known as Cyril Sweett Group, Sweett Group has 600 employees and earned revenue of £51.5m ($74.93m) in 2015.
