The Ogun State Property and Investment (OPIC) has ventured into a massive road project at the Agbara estate in Nigeria.

The project is in line with a directive from Governor Ibikunle Amosun to reconstruct all the major roads in the estate.

The road project is expected to cost approximately N1.8bn ($11.2m).

"The road is being extended to 50km to attract more number of companies to the OPIC estate."

OPIC managing director Babajide Odusolu has said that the six-month reconstruction of a 10.8km road is almost complete and as a result of the infrastructural rebirth, it is being extended to 50km to attract more number of companies to the OPIC estate.

The company intends to carry the reconstruction project in phases, along with construction of housing units and new gated residential zones across the Agbara estate.

Odusolu adds that the OPIC estate roads will be last up to 40 years, as well-tested soil and quality materials will be used in the road reconstruction.
