Parkmobile USA has launched its mobile payment system in borough of Wildwood Crest in New Jersey, US.

With the launch of the new Parkmobile system, residents and visitors of Wildwood Crest will be able to use their mobile phones to pay for parking at any metered space.

Customers can now pay for their parking with their mobile phone using Parkmobile’s app for the iPhone, Android, Windows 7 and Blackberry devices.

"Parkmobile is looking forward to working with the borough of Wildwood Crest to offer drivers a more robust means of parking."

To use the new system, customers can register for free on the Parkmobile website or the app and can start using the system immediately after setting up an account with their registered mobile phone.

Users can also choose to receive alerts and reminders 15mins before the parking session expires.

Parkmobile USA CEO Cherie Fuzzell said: "Parkmobile is looking forward to working with the borough of Wildwood Crest to offer drivers a more robust means of parking."

Parkmobile’s mobile payment parking service is already available in several US cities, including Oakland, Santa Cruz, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Sausalito, Long Beach, Newport Beach and Riverside.
