Slovakia’s National Highway (NDS) is seeking bids for the construction of a stretch of the D1 motorway between Hubová and Ivachnová near Ružomberok.

The new 15km section of highway includes the 2km-long Cebrat tunnel, which is set to improve traffic benefitting Ružomberok.

The cost of the project is expected to be about €465.7m and will be co-financed with EU funds.

The entire project spans 75km of two dual carriageways, forming part of Pan-European corridor (Trieste).
