Clark County in the US has started construction on the $117m project to complete the remaining stretch of the Las Vegas Beltway.

It will involve finishing the portion of Clark County Route 215 between Tenaya Way and Decatur Boulevard.

The project involves the conversion of seven miles of two-lane highway into a divided four-lane highway with the construction of new interchanges at Decatur and Jones boulevards.

A new bridge will carry Bradley Road over the freeway while Centennial Parkway will be expanded to Jones.

The project is expected to take two and half years to complete.
