The Washington Department of Transport in the US has opened the new Manette bridge built at a cost of $60m, replacing an 80-year-old bridge across Bremerton and Manette.

The new bridge has two 11ft-wide lanes, two 5ft-wide shoulders, and a 10ft-wide pedestrian walkway.

The new bridge also has a new roundabout, which will improve passenger safety and provide better traffic flow in Manette.

A replacement was needed to offer a vital link between Bremerton and Manette.
