US mobility platform SpotHero and parking management technology firm TIBA have teamed up to offer a service that will improve occupancy rates and help boost revenue for operators.

The partners aim to offer a complete view of online and offline parking demand data, advanced yield management capabilities, and frictionless redemption to improve customers’ parking experience.

Combining TIBA’s parking API SmartConnect with SpotHero’s parking mobility platform and network of high-demand off-street facilities, both companies will provide a uniform process for online reservations and joint product yield management across 300 markets in the US and Canada.

SpotHero will use TIBA’s Bluetooth technology ParkBlue to power one-tap redemption, which will enable drivers to present an access credential without rolling down their windows.

Together with yield management and 360° insights, the advanced access capability enables operators to process drive-up payments for motorists.

Currently, SpotHero and TIBA are testing platform integrations. They will expand into more North American markets later this year.
