Dutch firm TomTom has expanded its on-street parking service offering to 100 cities in Europe.

The on-street parking service offers the probability of finding a parking space on a particular street, as well as provides the average search-time for locating the space.

The solution supports parking probabilities across cities without restricting the results to specific geographies, and also provides information about the free parking locations.

It is available for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and Enterprise customers, as well as through an application programming interface (API) on the TomTom Developer Portal.

TomTom Traffic and Travel vice-president Ralf-Peter Schäfer said: “TomTom On-Street Parking offers drivers peace of mind and a less-stressful parking experience, in addition to helping them save time and money.

“With 100 of the most important European cities now covered, we’re helping to improve urban mobility.”

TomTom on-street parking complements the existing off-street parking service, which offers information about parking garage and lot.

Last week, the company unveiled the software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution WEBFLEET, which has been redeveloped to include multiple new features and to provide both a fresh and intuitive user experience with advanced customisation capabilities.

When combined with the new range of TomTom PRO driver terminals, the revamped software effective routing, navigation and traffic information.

The new solution also allows the managers to pre-plan specific routes using various criteria that can be sent directly to drivers through the new TomTom PRO 5350/7350 driver terminals.

It is available in 13 languages to all TomTom Telematics customers located across 60 countries.
