Qatar’s Public Works Authority has awarded 13 contracts worth QAR3bn ($823m) for major infrastructural projects across the country.

The projects involve a three-lane highway between Al Muntazah with the proposed F-Ring Road, with 11 intersections and six roundabouts and internal roads in Barwa City in Mesaimeer.

Another contract, worth QAR360.2m ($98.8m), includes the reconstruction of the Najma road from the Najma intersection to the E-Ring Road and extending to the proposed F-Ring Road.

A QAR491.3m ($135m) project includes the development of the Doha Expressway and internal roads with water networks, traffic lights, bridges, tunnels and landscaping.
