Chile plans to approach the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank for US$1.6bn for infrastructure projects, including roads funding, this year.

Of the total investment about $468m is allocated for maintenance work, which includes highway networks in La Concepcion, El Salto-Kennedy and the roads between Autopista Central and Costanera Norte, according to a report on the World Highways website.
