Ohio has swapped a $115m stimulus grant originally intended for a major road bridge project in Cl eveland for 52 smaller road projects.

Plans to replace the Interstate 90 bridge in Cleveland will go ahead but will not be funded by money given to the state in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The $400m bridge project will be funded with the help of other state and federal money, according to wkyc website.

The Federal Highway Administration has approved funding for Ohio’s first 15 stimulus projects.
