TrafficLand, a US-based company that collects live traffic videos, has agreed a deal with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to incorporate traffic videos into its national network of nearly 7,000 traffic cameras under a new agreement.

The live video from Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) can be browsed by the public on TrafficLand’s website and through a range of proprietary services for media and public safety agencies.

In addition, the cameras will be extended to 67 markets throughout the US and most heavily-traveled routes. The network also includes critical evacuation cameras along the Florida Keys.

The users can save camera displays, schedule emails with live images from selected cameras, access cameras by web-enabled mobile devices and even set up traffic camera widgets on personalised home pages or blogs.

The company will install its IP video equipment at FDOT Operation Centres in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Tampa and Orlando.
