A 73km-long national highway project from Tindivanam to Ulundurpet in Tamilnadu, India, has been completed by Indian infrastructure company GMR Group.

The road will ensure smooth flow of traffic and also provide a boost to trade and commerce in the region.

The national highway project was developed by GMR Highways on the Chennai-Dindigul National Highway (NH-45).

Work under the Rs 828 crore road project included widening of the existing two-lanes to four-lanes and carrying out design, construction, development, finance, operation and maintenance on the existing road.

GMR Highways, the road construction division of GMR completed the construction work in two and half years on a build-operate-transfer basis.
