A new phase of Oklahoma’s Crosstown Expressway in the US has received funding of $63m for the connection of access bridges at Lincoln Boulevard and Western Avenue.

Work is set to begin in the fall and is expected to be completed by spring 2011.

The phase is part of the city’s $600m project to relocate nearly 4.5 miles of Interstate 40 to the south from its existing location downtown.

Half of the project is already complete and the rest is expected to be finalised in 2012.
