Nigeria’s Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has allocated $54m (N7.9bn) for 42 road improvement projects nationwide.

The projects include rehabilitation, maintenance and repairs of various roads in the country.

Major target roads include the Abuja-Kaduna road, Kaduna-Zaria road, Ibadan-Ife road, Amukpe-Abraka and Lagos-Ikorodu-Itoikin road.

All projects are expected to be finished within a year.

The contractors include Ratcon, Pavebay, Triacta, Eagle Peak, Bonus, Tinka, and Afdin construction among others.
