Temperatures have continued to fall across much of Asia, causing record snowfalls in some parts.

Traffic is snarled up in the South Korean city of Seoul, which has experienced 28cm of snow, the most precipitation the nation has seen in a day since records began in 1937.

The city has mobilised nearly 1,200 vehicles to remove snow from all major roads and streets.

Up to 30 highways have been closed fully or partially in the Chinese capital of Beijing as the city recorded its heaviest daily snowfall in nearly six decades.

According to the Central Meteorological Administration, up to 30cm of snow fell on Beijing and Tianjin over the weekend.
