US firm Luna Road will supply its solar road studs and solar cat eyes to enhance visibility on the new coastal beltway in Panama.

The company has provided its red-coloured LED Luna road light (LR-40 Optimus series), which harnesses the power of the sun during the daytime and illuminates with energy efficient LEDs during the night.

The beltway is a recently finished project in the Panama City, which provides a bypass route past the city to reduce congestion.

The new coastal beltway will now help distribute traffic more efficiently by accepting the brunt of around 72,000 vehicles from other avenues, the company said.
