French transport and logistics company Norbert Dentressangle has been appointed to handle national warehousing and distribution for UK’s Highways Agency.

Under the new four-year contract, the company will handle storage of nearly 1,500 stock-keeping units associated with the provision and maintenance of roadside cameras, telephones and electronic signs for the motorway network in England, ranging from matrix signs and gantries to nuts and bolts.

The deal includes distribution of these items, either to The Highways Agency’s regional maintenance contractors or direct to roadside projects.

The company will provide the services out of its shared-user warehouse in Telford, with over 100,000ft² of storage space initially.
