Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Highways has awarded a €260m ($363.6m) contract to Austrian firm Strabag to build a section on the S7 Expressway.

The four-lane 36.5km segment stretches between Kalsk and Milomlyn, which lies nearly 100km northwest of Warsaw.

Work includes the conversion under traffic of the parallel DK7 road and construction of 27 bridges, four service areas and three junctions.

Work is expected to begin in March and finish in July 2012, and will be carried out by Strabag subsidiaries Strabag Polska and Hermann Kirchner Polska.
