After complaints about poor service, the Panama Government has brought the toll highway from Mexican firm ICA for $420m.

The 20km Corredor Sur highway, which links Panama City to Panama’s international airport, has faced criticism for long queues at toll booths.

This recently forced the government to perform an audit of the road, according to Reuters.

The government is also buying 51% of another toll road, the Corredor Norte, for $280m from Mexican-owned PYCSA.
