Chinook Roads Partnership has inked a P3 contract worth $769m, for a ring road section in Calgary, Canada.

The Canada-based firm is expected to design, construct, maintain, and partially finance the road division.

The company will work with Alberta Transportation on the 33-year contract, according to calgary.ctv.ca.

The project is expected to receive government funding, with $100m already promised for the scheme.

The Calgary’s ring road section is scheduled to open to traffic in the fall of 2013.

The P3 contract is estimated to save up to $1bn and two years’ time required in the initial project plan.
