Accident-prone state road arteries in Italy will receive the latest tutor average speed camera systems.

The speed cameras are expected to check speeds and impose fines on the start of three roads.

The system is expected to lower the mortality rate on Italian motorway by over 51%, according to itsinternational.com.

Motorway service provider Autostrade per l´Italia, which won the provincial contract, will initiate the 18-month trial of the system.

The system is expected to cover the rest of Italy’s state roads over the next three years.
