The Canadian city of Edmonton has announced it will carry out 100 infrastructural projects worth $400m.

The projects include repaving roads, rebuilding sidewalks and installing new streetlights in four neighbourhoods.

Work also involves preventative road maintenance in seven localities, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Coorporation.

The construction works are expected to start on 3 May.

Work on an overpass and a bridge widening and rehabilitation that are already underway are expected to continue.
