Two Russian banks have signed a deal to finance the construction of a high-speed motorway in Russia.

The Moscow-Saint-Petersburg highway is expected to receive RUR29.2bn ($994m) through the credit agreement.

The 15.58km segment will be built and operated by the North-West Concession Company, under French Corporation VINCI Concessions.

The two Russian banks involved in the agreement are Vnesheconombank and Sberbank of Russia, according to veb.ru.
