Construction will soon begin on the €153m ($197m) cable-stayed bridge across a river in Sunderland, UK.

Touted to be England’s tallest bridge, the structure is expected to measure 187m high by 336m long.

The structure is expected to improve access to Sunderland city centre.

The project secured €72m ($92m) from the city council while the remaining amount has been secured from government and regional development agency, One North East.

The bridge has been designed by architect Stephen Spence and structural engineering firm, Techniker.
