A joint venture of Graham Construction and Flatiron has won a $224m contract to build the Circle Drive South project in Saskatoon, Canada.

The project work includes a new bridge, a 7km highway, four railway grade separations, sound walls and utility relocation.

The proposed roadway is expected to have a four-to-six lane divided highway with provisions for pedestrians and cyclists.

On completion, the new bridge and freeway are expected to improve efficiency and safety and reduce congestion by nearly 35%.

Construction is expected to begin this year and will be complete in 2012.
