AECOM has won a C$277m ($218m) contract for a major ring road in Saskatoon, Canada.

The Circle Drive South project involves constructing a new south bridge, 4.3 miles of four-to-six-lane divided freeway, four roadway interchanges and four railway grade separations.

The US-based company has been subcontracted as the lead designer for the ring road project.

AECOM president and chief executive officer John M. Dionisio said the ring road is expected to help reduce traffic congestion in Saskatoon by 35%.
