Nigeria is planning to fast-track the construction of the 58.8km-long Kaduna eastern bypass road.

The bypass, estimated to cost N16bn ($104m) is expected to include a 10km spur to Rabah road.

The road is expected to facilitate the new Kaduna city project, and ease traffic and congestion along the main axis of the city.

The road contract was awarded to Nigeria-based Eksiogullari Construction in 2002, according to 234next.com.
