The Indiana Department of Transportation in the US has awarded the Interstate 69 highway (I-69) contract to a joint venture of TJ Lambrecht Construction and FH Paschen.

Under the $58.5m contract, the company will construct four lanes of new interstate roadway in the Daviess county.

On completion, the I-69 will offer a connection from Evansville to the rest of Indiana.

Construction work on 67 miles of sections 1, 2 and 3 will begin this year.

The project is expected to be complete by 2012.
