A Copper Hills Constructors joint venture has won the contract to build the Mountain View Corridor freeway, transit and trail system in Utah, US

The $106m project awarded by Utah Department of Transportation includes the construction of nine miles of a two-lane road between Redwood and Old Bingham Highway.

The asphalt-paved, nine-mile project includes signalised intersections, recreational trails, drainage improvements and new structures.

The joint venture is led by Granite Construction and includes Kiewit and WW Clyde.

Granite’s share in the contract is estimated to be $47.7m

Initial work on the project is underway and is expected to be complete in 2012.
