The Nigerian Federal Road Safety Commission will work with the UK’s Integrated Transport Planning to improve road safety.

The World Bank engaged the UK firm to serve as a consultant for Nigeria’s road safety management capacity review in a bid to reduce road accidents in the country.

The World Bank has allocated more than US$300m to assist in developing projects in the short, medium, and long term.

A WB official said about 90% of deaths through road accidents occurred in developing countries, according to traffictechnologytoday.com.
