Tutor Perini has received three contracts totalling $467m from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission Council, the New York State Thruway Authority and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.

A joint venture of Southland Contracting and Tutor Perini was awarded the $226m New Irvington Tunnel contract, estimated to be completed in approximately two years.

The contract involves a new 3.5-mile-long tunnel parallel to the existing Irvington Tunnel in California.

The Tappan Zee Bridge contract is a $148m deck replacement and rehabilitation project of the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York, scheduled to be completed by November 2012.

A total of 420,000ft² of the bridge deck will be replaced over a span of 2.5 miles, according to US-based Tutor Perini.

A joint venture of Ferreira Construction and Tutor Perini won the $93m contract to renovate the Newark Bay Bridge.

The project work, which involves bridge deck reconstruction and miscellaneous structural, roadway and lighting improvements on the bridge and approach spans, will end in August 2013.
