The mayor’s office of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is planning to invest SAR3bn ($799m) for the construction of new flyovers and underpasses over the next five years to ease traffic congestion.

The plan involves a 650m underpass worth SAR94.8m ($25m) with three lanes to tackle congestion on Sari Street in the east-west Jeddah region.

A number of works have already been completed, while construction of other flyovers and underpasses is scheduled to be completed soon, according to the Saudi Gazette.
