Construction firm Cut and Fill has won a contract to extend the Geelong Ring Road in the Australian state of Victoria.

The project will create a single freeway connection linking Anglesey Road to the Princes Highway, according to

The extension work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2010 and is estimated to cost A$71m ($64m).

The freeway is intended to improve access for freight, commuter and tourist traffic to and from the Geelong region and south-west Victoria.
