A highway on-ramp section in Wellington, New Zealand, will be closed for three months from 23 August as part of an upgrade programme by the NZ Transport Agency.

The on-ramp closure will support the construction of the southern approach walls to the Victoria Park motorway tunnel in central Auckland.

Traffic between the Central Business District and the North Shore, which is expected to be affected by the closure, will be diverted to other northbound links.

Work will include adjusting the ramp lights to reduce queuing time, as well as reconfiguring lanes and pedestrian crossings to accommodate more right turns.
