Switzerland-based satellite navigation provider Garmin has selected US-based NAVTEQ as its preferred digital map supplier for India.

Garmin will incorporate the NAVTEQ map of India in its new range of portable navigation devices, which include three new devices Nuvi 1360, Nuvi 215 and Nuvi 715, and more to come in the future.

The company will also provide enhanced content for the new range of Garmin devices to help driver orientation.

The Nuvi 1360 features additional visual content, such as junction view images that help drivers avoid difficult maneuvers. The system is also incorporated with ‘Eco-route’, which allows drivers to track fuel usage.
