INRIX Analytics

INRIX, a US-based provider of traffic information and intelligent driver services, is expanding access to INRIX Analytics and its historical traffic archive through a partner programme with leading transport planning and engineering firms Transpo Group and Fehr & Peers.

The programme will use INRIX Analytics and historical traffic data in order to help transportation agency customers conduct congestion management studies, inform system planning and measure performance of their road networks.

Through the partnerships, transportation agencies benefit from single-use pricing for projects that provide access to data-driven insight from subject matter and analytics tool experts.

INRIX Public Sector vice president Rick Schuman said that government agencies worldwide, at present, are being required to stretch and justify every dollar invested in transportation.

"Transportation agencies benefit from single-use pricing for projects that provide access to data-driven insight from subject matter and analytics tool experts."

"Harnessing the same powerful system-wide data utilised by Texas A&M Transportation Institute over the past three years for the National Urban Mobility Report, INRIX Analytics and our partner programme provides transportation agencies of all sizes and budgets with a unique and critical resource to their efforts," Schuman added.

INRIX has partnered with the University of Maryland to expand the Vehicle Probe Project Analytics Suite, which is currently in use by the I-95 Corridor Coalition to offer live national coverage for all INRIX Analytics customers.

This suite provides a real-time dashboard, along with an instant access to historical data and the ability to compute common mobility performance measures on demand, as well as powerful visualisation tools.

Key benefits of INRIX Analytics include better insight into operations, a system-wide view of traffic, planning to identify the severity of traffic at various chokepoints and improved performance measurement.

The company announced the partner programme at the 23rd Annual ITS America Annual Meeting and Exposition.
