Technology firm INRIX is expanding the real-time traffic information services to the I-95 Corridor Coalition, an alliance of transportation agencies, toll authorities and related organisations in the US.

The company will provide services through the INRIX XD Traffic information system, which streamlines the daily operations, pinpoints investments and delivers better traveller services, allowing the coalition to better under traffic conditions along the corridor.

With INRIX solution, the Coalition member states can get real-time and previous traffic information and incident information from more than 40,000 miles of roads, ramps and interchanges.

The expanded services include the ability to cover more roads with greater accuracy, extending data quality commitments beyond freeways to major arterials, and providing better incident information.

The company will also continue to partner with the University of Maryland to offer agencies with tools that allows them to easily configure data for download and produce network performance analysis charts and tables for roads, regions and states.

The I-95 Corridor Coalition is an alliance of transportation agencies, toll authorities and related organisations from Maine to Florida, in addition to affiliate members in Canada.
