Jenoptik to supply traffic safety systems to Poland

German optoelectronics company Jenoptik Traffic Solutions is set to supply more than 100 stationary measuring systems for new traffic monitoring programmes in Poland.

Lifor SP, sales partner of the Jenoptik Traffic Solutions division in Poland, has received two orders to supply traffic safety technology.

The order from Polish transport agency GITD comprises the delivery and installation of around 100 MultaRadar SD580 stationary speed measuring devices.

Under the contract, these devices will be integrated within a new national traffic monitoring network operated by GITD in Poland.

The MultaRadar SD580 is an advanced stationary speed monitoring system that enables the simultaneous monitoring of several lanes, guaranteeing a definite allocation of a violation to one vehicle.

In addition to the GITD order, Jenoptik has received another order in Poland, through which further stationary traffic safety systems will be supplied to the Warsaw police.

In total, 20 speed MultaRadar SD580 measuring devices, along with a number of TraffiStar SR520 systems, which capture both red light and speeding violations simultaneously, will be installed.

Jenoptik has been operating in Poland since 2004 and has already installed nearly 100 systems across the country. It develops, manufactures and markets components and systems that increase road traffic safety across the world.

Its product portfolio includes systems for all aspects of road traffic, such as speed and red-light monitoring systems, as well as original equipment manufacturer products and systems for detecting other traffic violations.

The German company has orders in place in countries such as Malaysia, Oman and the Netherlands.

In addition to the Asia/Pacific and Middle East markets, Jenoptik is also seeking to tap opportunities in the European traffic safety market.
