Parking Concepts, a US-based parking services company, has teamed up with mobile parking payment services provider QuickPay to introduce new payment options and value-added services to its customers in the San Francisco Bay Area and Southern California.

The new partnership with QuickPay enables Parking Concepts’ customers to pay through their mobile phones, using the free QP QuickPay smartphone app on iPhone and Android, or by text message or voice.

In addition to providing ease and convenience in parking payment, the QP QuickPay app allows users to quickly find parking facilities that are QP-compatible.

QP QuickPay’s flexible solution supports all of Parking Concepts’ parking environments, including advanced parking services for hospitals, stadiums, special events, offices and airports.

QuickPay chairman and CEO Barney Pell said that the new partnership gives the company an opportunity to expand its service to more locations and geographies.

"The QP QuickPay app allows users to quickly find parking facilities that are QP-compatible."

"Together, we look forward to not only offering consumers a streamlined system for finding and paying for parking, but a solution that also allows facilities to differentiate and attract customers through the app’s discoverability feature," Pell added.

Initially, Parking Concepts has made the QP app available in both surface lots as well as gated garages, with six Parking Concepts locations in the Bay Area made QP-compatible.

In addition, Parking Concepts is offering the QP QuickPay service in Los Angeles at its downtown Park Fifth lot.

QP QuickPay is currently found in 14 cities total across California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado, representing almost 15,000 parking spaces.

Parking Concepts, founded in 1974, is a parking operator that leases, manages or operates close to 200 parking facilities.
