Swedish traffic safety and informatics developer Sensys Traffic, has secured a new order to deliver speed and red-light enforcement systems to Jordan.

The new SEK5m ($761,414) contract marks the company’s first order from Jordan, and is expected to be delivered during the first quarter of 2014.

The deliveries under the contract will comprise both mobile and fixed systems for speed monitoring, along with systems for red-light enforcement.

Sensys Traffic CEO Johan Frilund said: "It is very pleasing to have achieved this breakthrough order from a market that has previously been dominated by a competitor. We are continuing to invest in selected markets in the Middle East, where we received orders earlier this year from three new customers."

Sensys Traffic develops and markets a variety of systems for traffic informatics and traffic safety, with its products mainly used for speed and red-light monitoring.
