The five new road connections include, Seletar West Link to CTE, CTE to Seletar West Link, Seletar West Link to Yio Chu Kang Road, Yio Chu Kang Road to Seletar West Link and TPE (westbound) to Seletar West Link.

Or Kim Peow Contractors has secured the contract to carry out the CTE / SLE / TPE Interchange expansion project for S$75m ($44m). LTA is also planning to construct a new road link between TPE and Yishun Avenue 6.

Under the plan, the LTA will construct a new dual two-lane road between Yishun Avenue 6 and Yishun Avenue 1, remark a section of Yishun Avenue 1 from dual one-lane to dual two-lanes and widen the existing Seletar West Link from dual one-lane to dual three-lanes.

LTA expects to float a tender for the project shortly, with construction expected to commence in the third quarter of 2012. Both projects are expected to be completed by 2015 to improve communication and road capacity in the northern part of Singapore.
