Denmark-based Photocat materials manufacturer has signed an agreement with Swedish company S:t Eriks to combat a wide range of environmental challenges, highlighting air pollution as a key area. 

Under the agreement, S:t Eriks will be producing a series of concrete products that will be applied with Photocat's documented NOx-reducing photocatalytic technology. 

Initially, both companies will be focusing on road protection facilities, in order to alleviate NOx-pollution.

S:t Eriks Paving Division director Jörgen Bergengrip said: "We have chosen Photocat as our partner within photocatalytic products due to their strong and documented NOxOFF technology, which is stronger than anything we have seen in the market.

"I expect a strong and growing portfolio of S:t Eriks products with NOx reducing capabilities in the coming two to four years."

Alongside S:t Eriks, Photocat has also has partnered with other companies including ASAK Miljøstein in Norway and Gammelrand in Denmark for its NOxOFF concrete solutions. 

Photocat CEO Michael Humle said: "We consider S:t Eriks to be a very strong partner to launch NOx reducing products in the important Scandinavian market."
