Electronic Transaction Consultants Corporation (ETC) has won a roadside toll collection system contract from the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) in the US.

The contract will see ETC implement a toll collection system, as well as maintenance services, on Georgia roads.

The contract will initially run to June 2025 and have an option for an extension until 2035.

SRTA executive director Chris Tomlinson said: “This impressive solution is an exciting opportunity for SRTA and we are interested to see how machine learning and big data will help our organisation run more efficiently and effectively.”

ETC will offer a range of new products, which includes riteView, an AI-based suite, and riteVision, an advanced vehicle and licence plate recognition service.

Additionally, the contract will involve supply of riteJetStream, a multi-modal toll facility host (TFH), riteOSS, an enterprise-level IT maintenance, and asset management system.

Under the contract, SRTA will also provide a RITE Redundant Communications Module and RITE Redundant Lane Controller to ensure upgraded paths and help enhance operational capabilities.

ETC noted that deployment of these new products are intended to boost both operational and customer services by offering an efficient toll collection system and maintenance programme.

ETC business development executive vice-president Kevin Holbert said: “One of the most exciting things about this project is that we will be able to implement an entire suite of our newest and most advanced products, producing a more forward-thinking roadside system and providing real-time visibility to SRTA.”

Since 2010, ETC has executed and maintained various projects for SRTA, including its HOV to HOT lane solution for the I-85 Express Lanes.
