INRIX, a provider of connected car services worldwide, has integrated PayByPhone’s on-street parking data and payment options into its end-to-end parking solution for the connected car.

This new partnership will bolster the prediction capabilities of INRIX on-street parking with the addition of historical and real-time parking transaction information.

It will also strengthen INRIX’s in-car payment solution in North America and Europe.

"Our partnership with INRIX enables us to create an integrated solution for the connected car, allowing millions of consumers to easily and securely find and pay for parking right from their dashboard or companion app."

INRIX parking vice president and general manager Alex Israel said: "PayByPhone plays a vital role in making INRIX on-street parking the highest quality service with the broadest coverage, and solidifies INRIX as the preferred end-to-end smart parking solution for the connected car.

"In an industry where the most accurate data and seamlessly integrated user experiences will win, INRIX Parking will give our OEM partners a critical edge over the competition."

PayByPhone CEO Kush Parikh said: "Our partnership with INRIX enables us to create an integrated solution for the connected car, allowing millions of consumers to easily and securely find and pay for parking right from their dashboard or companion app.

"Like INRIX, our goal is to provide intelligent parking solutions, and we’re excited that our high-quality data and payment services will be coming to cars very soon."

Canada-based PayByPhone offers payment technologies, with over five million parking, tolling, public transit, bike share and EV charging transactions a month across North America and Europe.

In 2013, INRIX rolled out dynamic off-street parking service, and two years later launched integrated on-street parking solution, which will soon feature in BMW ConnectedDrive.

In 2015, it bolstered its investment in the parking industry with the purchase of ParkMe.
